This class is a great introduction to dance studio life. Our two year old classes are based on classical ballet terminology, incorporate varied musical rhythms, coordination exercises and dance games. Our "Tiny Tots" classes are structured to allow children to take once a week without the pressure of participating in the end of year performance.

This class is designed for our first & second-year/pre-school dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Dancers will enjoy learning pre-ballet movement and terminology to both classical and popular children's music. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention.

Our Kindergarten program offers classes in: Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop for the young dancer wanting to focus on each technique. Classes are also offerd a la carte.

Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our experienced acro instructors will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. These classes focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks, all each student's individual level of experience. BALLET IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED FOR ACRO LEVELS 2 AND ABOVE.

Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of the French, Vagonova and Cecchetti methods as students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid or percussive dance movements and often practice the art improvisation. Ballet is strongly suggested for this dance style.

All ages: Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of their comfort zone by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. These classes are based upon age rather than experience or technique.

All levels: Jazz class focuses on learning proper jazz dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns.

Modern dance is a free, expressive style of dancing started in the early 20th century as a reaction to classical ballet. The movements mainly come from the core with both contraction and percussive movements as well as floor work. Dancers are barefoot.

By director approval. All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.

INTENSIVE PROGRAM (pre company) The Intensive Program is designed for dancers who have shown a clear affinity for and dedication to dance

Lyrical classes are designed for the intermediate beginner to advanced students with previous training in ballet and/or jazz. Students will explore this expressive technique using jazz vocabulary.

POWERHOUSE is The Dance Pointe's high-intensity hip hop competition team. Team members are placed based upon ability displayed at the audition as well as age, maturity, and strength and sharpness of movement.
