ASSISTANT TEACHER PROGRAM
Leadership is one of the most important skills you can learn to be the best person you can be and make the world a better place. The great thing is, you have the opportunity to practice leadership every single day in your home, at school, in sports and everywhere in between. The students invited to become assistant teachers have completed The Dance Pointe’s ASSISTANT TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM and have shown the qualities needed to be role models in the studio and future leaders in the community. These dancers can be recognized by their “assistant” tank tops in the classes listed by their names!

Sara Abramson is 10 years old and a sixth grader at Blind Brook Middle School. She started ballet at age 2, has been at Dance Pointe since her kindergarten year, and is currently a member of the Demi Company. She loves playing basketball, eating Chinese food, and hanging out with her friends and family.

Sophia Moore is turning 11 in November and is a 6th grader at Port Chester Middle School. This is Sophia’s 9th season at The Dance Pointe and she is a current member of Demi Company. When she’s not dancing, Sophia enjoys drawing, exploring new music and riding her bike.

Rebecca Starr lives and goes to school in Rye Brook, NY where she is in tenth grade at Blind Brook High School. She has been dancing for twelve years and is currently in Senior Company. In her free time she loves to volunteer at a local animal shelter and hang out with her friends.

Jazlene Barron is 11 years old. She started dancing at 4 years old and joined Dance Pointe 6 years ago. She is a sixth grader at PCMS and a member of Demi Company. One of her favorite animals are alpacas. Jazlene also loves going to Puerto Rico.

Allison Low is 11 years old and is in the 6th grade at Rye Brook Middle School. She began dancing as soon as she was able to walk and has been with the Dance Pointe since she was about 3 years old. Allison is currently a member of the Demi Company and is excited to add Pointe to her classes this year. Alli is also a soccer player and never met a piece of chocolate she didn’t love.
