Mission:
This scholarship honors Miss Kendall’s unwavering commitment to ballet technique, musicality and mentorship. Her influence has shaped the technical foundation of TDP dancers for over a decade both here and overseas during the International Summer Dance Tour.

Awarded to:
One dancer (ages 8-12) who demonstrates a serious commitment to ballet, personal growth, and discipline in the classroom.

Application:

  • Short essay: “What has ballet taught you—about dance, and about yourself?”

Award Use:
Tuition credit for annual tuition or private coaching.

THE KRISTINE MACDONALD POWERHOUSE PERFORMER SCHOLARSHIP

Celebrating 10 Years at The Dance Pointe

Mission:
Created in honor of Kristine Macdonald’s tenth incredible season at The Dance Pointe, this scholarship celebrates a teacher whose fierce passion, technical mastery, and choreography have transformed countless dancers. Known for her strength in jazz, hip hop, and acro—and her ability to shape powerful, polished performers—Kristine’s impact extends beyond the studio. This scholarship honors dancers who share her discipline, drive, and love for performance.

The Kristine Macdonald Powerhouse Performer Scholarship

Awarded to:

  • Performance Excellence: Open to intermediate/advanced dancers (ages 12–18) who demonstrate strength in jazz, hip hop, or acro. Applicants must be actively enrolled in these styles.

  • Technical Growth & Drive: Candidates must submit a short essay (300–500 words) reflecting on their personal dance goals.

  • Application:

    • Short essay: “What are your dance goals this year, and how will this scholarship help you get there?

Award Use:

Tuition credit for annual tuition or private coaching.

THE VICTORIA RAGUSO IMPROVISATION & ARTISTRY SCHOLARSHIP

Celebrating 10 Years at The Dance Pointe

The Victoria Raguso Improvisation & Artistry Scholarship is awarded to a dancer who demonstrates exceptional creativity, musicality, and a strong sense of artistic individuality.

This dancer stands out for their ability to move beyond set choreography, embracing improvisation as a tool for expression, exploration, and growth. They show confidence in their instincts, a willingness to take risks, and a natural ability to connect movement with emotion and music.

This scholarship honors a dancer who brings a unique voice into the studio—one that is imaginative, present, and deeply rooted in artistry.

Awarded annually, the Victoria Improvisation & Artistry Scholarship reflects The Dance Pointe’s commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and authentic expression in every dancer.

Recipients of The Victoria Improvisation & Artistry Scholarship are selected through faculty observation and nomination.

Dancers are considered based on their work in class, rehearsals, and performance settings throughout the season. Particular attention is given to creativity, musicality, willingness to take risks, and the ability to express individuality through movement.

  • Short one-minute improv dance video emailed to the office.
