COMMUNICATION

Please be aware that all communication is done via email (practice changes or cancellations, competition times, waiver, announcements, etc.). Please make sure to check your email and our website regularly for reminders, updates, etc.

The Dance Pointe believes that being involved in competitive dance can develop positive self esteem, confidence, accountability, and leadership in young dancers. Our budding competition program will offer Hip Hop dancers the opportunity to perform for large crowds and compete against teams from all over the region.  We will  maintain a high standard of age appropriate routines and costuming for our dancers. Our goal is not necessarily to take 1st place, but rather to encourage our dancers to do their best and improve from one competition to the next and most of all have fun.

Membership to our Competition Team is by audition ONLY. Competition participation is recommended for ages 8 and up. Please visit our COMPETITION 2023/24 page to register for the audition. We offer team membership for Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz & Hip Hop, novice and competitive levels.

Our competition season runs from September-March. We attend (2) competitions (full weekend) and one convention per season. Attendance to all three event weekends is required of all team members. Mandatory team practice is held on FRIDAYS. Solos and duets will be held Saturday mornings. Full commitment is required if your dancer makes the team and exceptions for other activities cannot be made. We appreciate your understanding.
