TINY TOTS (ages 2-3)    

This class is a great introduction to dance studio life. Our two year old classes are based on classical ballet terminology, incorporate varied musical rhythms, coordination exercises and dance games. Our "Tiny Tots" classes are structured to allow children to take once a week without the pressure of participating in the end of year performance.

MINI MOVERS (pre-school | ages 4-5)

This class is designed for our first & second year/pre-school dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Dancers will enjoy learning pre-ballet movement and terminology to both classical and popular children's music. 


ACRO (level based)

Learn the basics or work on advancing your skills in our leveled Acro classes! Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our experienced acro instructors will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. These classes focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks, all each student's individual level of experience. These skills are incorporated into dance choreography throughout the year and all Acro classes perform a full piece in the end of year performance.

ACRO LEVELS 3 & ABOVE HAVE BALLET,TECHNIQUE PRE/CO REQUISITES OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS LEVEL I: none

SKILL REQUIREMENTS LEVEL II: unassisted forward roll, cartwheels, bridge from floor, assisted back bend, preliminary splits

SKILL REQUIREMENTS LEVEL III: unassisted backbends, kickover/walkovers, front limber, intermediate to full splits, left, right & center

LEVELS IV AND ABOVE ARE BY INVITATION/RECOMMENDATION ONLY.

A MINIMUM OF 3 DANCE CLASSES PER SEASON ARE REQUIRED FOR LEVEL IV AND ABOVE, BALLET IS A PRE AND CO REQUISITE OF THESE LEVELS.

BALLET (kindergarten +)

Students will learn classical ballet technique and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of the French, Vagonova and Cecchetti methods. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. Placement is based upon both age and experience.

HIP HOP (kindergarten +)

All ages: Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of their comfort zone by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. These classes are based upon age rather than experience or technique.

JAZZ (1st grade +)

All levels: Jazz class focuses on learning proper jazz dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement.

CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL (4th grade +)

Our Contemporary/Lyrical dance class offers a dynamic fusion of techniques, emphasizing expression, interpretation, and storytelling through movement.

Style Description

  • Lyrical Dance: Blending ballet, jazz, and contemporary techniques, lyrical dance focuses on interpreting music lyrics and conveying emotions through fluid, expressive movements. As students progress, the curriculum becomes increasingly complex and intricate.

  • Contemporary Dance: This style combines elements of modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet, striving to connect the mind and body through fluid, percussive, and athletic movements.

*WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BALLET AS A C0-REQUISITE TO THIS CLASS.

INTENSIVE PROGRAM

The Intensive Program is designed for dancers who have demonstrated a strong passion and commitment to dance. This invitation-only program selects dancers based on technique, ability, potential, dedication, and a positive attitude.

Open to dancers ages 8 and up, the Intensive Program focuses on cultivating young artists and developing proficient dancers. It also serves as a pathway to our performing companies for those who show exceptional growth and dedication.

*Please note that registration for the Intensive Program is available by director recommendation or invitation only.
